As part of VMH’s organizational values and mission, the board of directors, medical staff, and employees jointly affirm and recognize the rights and responsibilities of patients. Patients have both a right and a responsibility to understand this information and ask questions if additional information is needed. This mutual understanding and commitment serves as a basis for the relationship between VMH and its patients.

Vernon Memorial Healthcare values you as a customer and respects your right to privacy. We require that medical information that identifies you is kept private. We only collect information to create and foster a healthcare relationship. Our goal is to keep your information accurate and up-to-date. When you visit our website, you are giving your consent to our collection and use of your information as described in our policy.

If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). All complaints are required in writing. You will not be penalized for filing a complaint.
