Carol Wesley, MS provides care for children, adults, and families. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Carol is uniquely trained to assist people in resolving relationship issues and developing skills to enrich their lives for increased contentment.
Carol believes that children make more rapid progress when parents are active participants in treatment and utilize learned therapeutic strategies with their children at home and in the community. She views herself as a collaborator with parents assisting children with emotional development and behavior management. Carol strives to assist adults and children with special needs to achieve their maximum potential and to adjust to and to find accommodations for those life challenges which cannot be changed. If in the face of limitations people can find acceptance, they will live a richer, more rewarding life and will utilize their strengths to seek opportunities and achieve goals.
Carol has been a Marriage and Family Therapist for over 30 years. She obtained her Master of Science Degree in 1984 from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She has completed training as a Genetic Contact through the University of Wisconsin-Madison Waisman Center. She is licensed by the State of Wisconsin as a Marriage and Family Therapist and as a Professional Counselor. She is certified by the State of Wisconsin as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Carol is a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Professional Member of the Wisconsin Counseling Association.
